Agent Fresco release angelic new single

Agent Fresco

The Monolith staff’s love for Iceland’s Agent Fresco is no secret. Their debut full length A Long Time Listening is a favourite amongst our ranks, and indeed, amongst the wider UK tech/prog community that has adopted them with gusto – and with an appearance at the scene’s event – UK Tech Metal Fest – on the cards this summer, they’re sure to make even more fans soon enough.

The wait for their second album has been long. A Long Time Listening has become a sort of self-referential title; it came out in 2010, and despite a tantalising glimpse of new material with first single “Dark Water, that track came out over a year ago (although it doesn’t feel like it to me - being addicted to it makes the time fly I guess).

Thankfully we’ve got this new video for “See Hell” – the second single from their upcoming album, which will be titled Destrier – which will have to do for now (for those of you not lucky enough to live in the land of ice and snow).

Both the track and video are pretty compelling. There’s some brilliant visual storytelling going on, and it’s beautifully shot – and the song itself has a fantastic groove to it. Fantastic stuff, all round.

Destrier comes out August 7th, and Agent Fresco will be playing a few shows outside of Iceland to support it alongside Tech Fest, the dates as well as links for tickets are as follows:

11.07 @ UK Tech-Metal Fest, Newark, UK
24.09 @ Privatclub, Berlin, GER
25.09 @ Reeperbahn Festival, Hamburg, GER
26.09 @ Underground, Cologne, GER

If you like what you’ve heard and for some reason have not heard of our favourite Agent (sorry Coulson and Carter), A Long Time Listening is available on Spotify for your perusal and the “Dark Waters” video can be found below for your viewing pleasure.
