No Consequence announce new album Vimana

No Consequence 2015

Earlier this year we offered up a “who’s who” of Basick Records’ planned 2015 releases. We’ve seen but one of them so far, meaning the second half of the year is going to be rammed. Besides those not even announced at the time (which included The Colour Line’The Long Awaited Seal Of Disapproval, plus anything else yet to see the light of day), there were eight new records promised, so it’s going to be a busy old time.

Next up, however, is southern UK quintet No Consequence, who are one of the label’s staples. The band have announced their third album Vimana - no doubt a nod to what Google tells me is a “flying palace or chariot described in Hindu texts and Sanskrit epics” (a notion mirrored in the record’s album art) – and to tease your loins, have premiered a new track called “Speechless“:

Angular and beefy as ever, this is nevertheless early evidence of an upgraded No Consequence. There’s the resolute aggression of frontman Kaan Tasan, contrasted by his impressive cleans, backed by stabbing modern metal riffs, a rumbling low-end and weighty drums. The production in particular is quite satisfying, and we’re looking forward to hearing the rest.

Speaking of, Vimana‘s full tracklist will shape up something like this:

No Consequence - Vimana album art01. Acala
02. Out Time Has Come
03. Is This A Way To Live
04. Resistance
05. The Turning Point
06. Half Light
07. Citizen
08. Speechless
09. Disconnect
10. Signs
11. Vimana

Vimana will be released on June 8th via Basick Records. No Consequence will be touring next month with labelmates Murdock, supporting the mighty Monuments on a quick UK run, which shapes up thusly:

May 20th @ Green Door Store – Brighton
May 21st @ Clwb Ifor Bach – Cardiff
May 22nd @ Corporation – Sheffield
May 23rd @ Satans Hallow – Manchester
May 24th @ Mash House – Edinburgh
May 25th @ Stereo – Glasgow
May 27th @ Borderline – London

They’re also announced for Germany’s Euroblast festival in October.
