Listen to Better Left Unsaid’s brand new album only on The Monolith!
Better Left Unsaid, hailing from Modesto, CA, are one of those bands who have been quietly going about their business for a number of years without much fanfare, but with a strong work ethic and a good ear for a song. Two albums deep since their formation in 2003, they’re today dropping their third album – self-titled – through Epochal Artists Records and Capital Music Group.
The four-piece’s pedigree is pretty stellar, having spent their career touring with such luminaries as Killswitch Engage, Devildriver, 3 Inches Of Blood, Dååth, Mushroomhead, (Hed)P.E. and Hatebreed - the latter of which’s Jamey Jasta signed Better Left Unsaid to Stillborn Records for their debut album The Fight Within. Their generally DIY ethos is certainly one to be lauded, then; getting on those kinds of tours won’t have been easy, but then nothing worth anything ever is.
So, then, The Monolith is proud to be premiering Better Left Unsaid today. Speaking about the record, guitarist Greg Fender said:
We didn’t sugar coat anything on this record. We wanted things to be raw and dark and dirty and ugly. There are plenty of other metal records that are super clean and perfect, but they’re also sterile. We wanted this record to be like real life; harsh, ugly, unforgiving. Sometimes everything is not going to be alright
And here it is!
