In a move that will be getting instrumetal shred fans everywhere moist, Keith Merrow - one of the internet’s finest home-studio musicians – has announced that he will be teaming up with legendary ex-Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis to collaborate on a full album together.
The two are documented colleagues – and we assume friends – already, most recently with Loomis having provided guest work on Merrow’s song “Spice Dealer” from the album Retrospecial last year, and are due to perform together at the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) trade show next weekend in Anaheim, CA.
The news, posted on Merrow’s Facebook page this weekend, sees a very stoked Keith explaining that they’ve been talking about doing an album together for a while, and he’s confident that their compositional and musical chemistry will make for a great record. We don’t doubt!
Keith has been making a huge name for himself in the past few years, and Loomis’ talents are almost mythical at this point, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled on our humble heiney for more details as they become available – or you can keep updated yourselves with Keith and Jeff‘s respective Facebook artist pages.
