A second new Leprous song arrives from The Congregation

Leprous‘ new album The Congregation is great. Like, really great. Awesome, even. It’s big – about 66 minutes total – it’s bombastic, and it’s going to impress a lot of people.

So far, the general public has heard opening track “The Price” – again, awesome – but we’ve now got a second slice of the pie with track 3, AKA “Rewind“. Have a listen:

It’s a different piece entirely. A calm intro is underpinned by bubbling tension, which starts to show its face with the thundering drum line. It eventually breaks into an almost tribal themed track, with Einar’s gorgeous vocals crying out over the top. There’s a lot going on over its seven minutes, so give it a couple of goes to let it properly sink in.

Anyway, in case you’d forgotten, here’s what the whole album will look like when you pluck it out of that pretty packaging later this month:

The Congregation is out May 25th through InsideOut Music. They have lots of shows booked for the end of the year, along with a few summer festival appearances – including UK Tech Fest in July – before that.
