Basick bands ex and current unite for 7-date UK jaunt

Monuments No Consequence Murdock tour poster

British prog rising stars Monuments are currently on tour supporting the mighty Karnivool across Europe – indeed, they’re on the UK leg right now, with a massive show going down at The Roundhouse in Camden tomorrow night – but it seems like the quintet aren’t close to ending their year-and-however-much of touring they’ve been engaged in since releasing The Amanuensis last year. Instead, they’ve only gone an announced an – admittedly modest – UK tour for the end of May.

The spread’s fairly good – they’ll be hitting Wales once and Scotland twice across the seven dates – but it’s the major cities, so if you’re in the sticks, bad luck.

Nevertheless, this one’s going to be worth coming out for, if for the supports alone.

Opening will be recent Basick Records signees Murdock. Their new album comes out next month, so you’ll be able to get a better idea of what they’re about then, but we caught them recently, and are pretty excited about Dead Lung, so make sure to get to shows early.

Following them as main support will be label mates No Consequence, who also have a new album due later this year. Early noises on this one sound good, and they’re more than a little experienced with the live game, so there’ll be plenty to tickle fancies and wet whistles.

Full dates are below, in case you can’t read the poster. We’ll see you in the pit.
