Skyharbor’s forthcoming second album to be released in November

We are big fans of Skyharbor. Despite being a little underwhelmed by recent teaser track “Evolution, their sold showings both on record and live mark them as one of the most pleasing progressive metal bands of recent years, and one that stands out particularly for being from the burgeoning metal scene of India.

We were pleased to see their recent crowdfunding campaign was a roaring success, allowing them to get Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, The Butterfly Effect) to mix the album, as well as tapping up Jess Cope (Steven Wilson, Devin Townsend, Storm Corrosion) to produce one of her stunning animations for a music video.

The album has now officially been announced, along with title, tracklist and release date. Says guitarist/producer Keshav Dhar:

We are thrilled to announce that our second record is officially complete, and it is titled ‘Guiding Lights’. We have worked incredibly hard over the last two years on making this album the most spectacular effort we could create, and we thank our AMAZING fans for helping bring it to life and take it to the next level! We can’t wait for you to sink your teeth into it!

The tracklist will be as follows:

01. Allure
02. Evolution
03. Idle Minds
04. Miracle
05. Halogen
06. New Devil
07. Patience
08. Guiding Lights
09. Kaikoma
10. The Constant

As well as the array of talent present in the band, there will be guest spots from Australian musician Plini Roessler-Holgate (Plini), Mark Holcomb (Periphery), violinist Randy Slaugh (Devin Townsend), and Valentina Reptile (Hieroglyph). We’ll bring you more as and when we have it!

Guiding Lights will be released on 10th November through Basick Records. Pre-orders up via them soon! The band will be playing a number of dates later that month in India, with more to be announced.
