Sonata Arctica put out a video for previously released song “Wolves Die Young”
Remember just recently when we told you about the first single from the new Sonata Arctica album? Well, that video was taken down, because it was an unofficial stream. But now you are all in luck, because the people over at Nuclear Blast have gifted the world a new music video.
There isn’t anything to say about the song that I didn’t have to say before. The chorus is still catchy as fuck, and it’s still wintery power metal goodness from Finland’s finest, aside from there being a couple little sections that were cut out of the previous version, which I assume now was a radio edit. The video, on the other hand, is entirely something to talk about, at least for a little bit.
The video is…well a pretty standard metal video. The band is playing, in an admittedly pretty cool setting with really neat lighting and such, and there are people in a forest with snow around, and some wolves. Oh and there are boobs. I bet that caught your attention, eh? The lyrics mention a queen being naked, and I assume that the lady who bares all is that very person. There is also a floating mirror that shows reflections of people without their clothes, which is a weird way for a mirror to work. Perhaps it’s like the Mirror of Erised from Harry Potter? Regardless, the woman seems somewhat scandalized by the mirror. Then the video ends.
It isn’t too bad of a video, but most videos these days are fairly similar. The song is great, I can’t wait for the new album, but I could take or leave the video.
Pariah’s Child is available for pre-order now and will be released in late March through Nuclear Blast
