Animal masks aplenty in Zoax’s new video for “Jekyll Meets Hyde

Zoax Jekyll Meets Hyde

It’s hard not to really. Although they’re very, very new, Zoax have taken massive steps already, signing to Siege Of Amida Records last year, and releasing their debut EP XIII earlier in 2014 (which we reviewed here).

They’re also a fantastic live band, and every time we see them we have a whale of a time.

Not content with already having two music videos for their 5-track release, the band have today premiered a third (athough only their second since signing): this time for track 4, “Jekyll Meets Hyde.” Have thee a look:

It’s a real builder. There’s a lot going on here – a lot of shifting tempos and stop-starts – and it all serves to amp up to a stomping finale.

For the video itself, it’s basically the band wandering around the countryside in suit and animal masks and setting off coloured smoke. Is there a message? We’re not sure. Frontman Adam Carroll is a fox, but luckily he doesn’t break into THAT song…

Zoax are currently working on the follow-up album to XIII, but in the meantime you can see them out on the road next month supporting Feed The Rhino – dates are as follows:
