Veterean Swedish death metal band to release new album through CM
Swedish death metal legends Entombed have been away for a while. Their last studio album Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments was put out in 2007, over six years ago, and so it’s great to hear that they’ve inked a deal with Century Media Records and will be putting out a new record later this year!
Aptly titled Back To The Front, it will be Entombed’s tenth full-length since their inception as Nihilist in 1987. Vocalist Lars Göran Petrov has said of the return:
After almost 7 years of studio absence we are back with a new album called Back To The Front ready to blow metalheads away around this world! Feels great to announce this deal with Century Media ! Can’t wait to let u all be a part of it!
Zbigniew Bielak (who did the art for Watain‘s Lawless Darkness and The Wild Hunt, Vader‘s Welcome to the Morbid Reich, Ghost‘s Infestissumam.) created the artwork, which looks like a composite between a nice landscape oil painting and a grim skull buried in tree roots. Pretty ‘gnarly’ (haw haw haw).
Century Media have advised us all to keep an eye on the band’s official Facebook page over the coming days, “since we’ve heard that the band will give you an exclusive first taste of the new album soon;)”, which you should probably take to mean that we’ll be getting some sweet, sweet new Entombed by the end of play on Friday.
Back To The Front will be out October 28th in Europe and October 29th in America through, of course, Century Media.
