Red Seas start PR train for Resolution EP

Red Seas Fire Blood Bank

West country quartet Red Seas Fire have graced our pages many times over recent years; all with good reason, but the thing with which we’ve been the most consistently impressed is how much better they get with every release.

They were no slouches to begin with, but particularly since guitarist Nolly left to join Periphery some years ago, and they embarked on a planned trilogy of EPs – titled Mise en Scène - we’ve fallen more and more in love with them.

Exposition and Confrontation were the first two entries, and saw them step out of the shadow in a big way. As we approach the release of the third of those three EPs, Resolution, the band have seen fit to grace us with a new tune from it called “Blood Bank” – and continuing the progression, it’s possibly the best yet. Says vocalist Robin:

“It fuses the anger of our last EP Confrontation with the heart of Exposition in order to take the listener to somewhere else entirely – it was the clear choice for the lead single.”

Anyway, here it is;

Interestingly, the video was produced entirely in-house with the help of guitarist Pete Graves’ partner Nicky, and it’s the best video they’ve done too – there’s a really strong visual identity to it; it’s simple but effective, and well shot.

Resolution will be released March 9th, but you can hear new tunes aplenty on their forthcoming tour with Polish progressive metal band DispersE as of tomorrow, pus a couple of dates with Xerath and Periphery in the spring. That should be a tour and a half. Dates below!
