Texans Scale The Summit get down with Gaia

Scale The Summit - The Migration

Scale The Summit have no small amount of love around these parts. The Texan instrumental quartet, who released the excellent The Collective a couple of years ago, have been hard at work on the follow up in recent months.

We already knew it would be called The Migration, and we’ve now been given the album artwork, which reflects the title nicely. It was created by artist Duncan Storr, who has provided covers like Live Chronicles for Hawkwind and Edge Of Sanity‘s Crimson, and has some seriously gaia-esque quadrupedal march-of-the-Ents imagery going on.

The build up to the album, due out on June 11th through Prosthetic Records, has been accompanied by a series of four studio videos:

To promote the new album, Scale The Summit are heading out on tour in support of Intronaut and The Atlas Moth in June, taking in thirty dates across North America. Sounds like a pretty good line-up all in all, and continues the other two’s run together (they’re currently in Europe with Castlecheck the calendar for the remaining dates).
