Temples Festival adds more excellence to stellar lineup
I was saying just last week how many awesome festivals there are to attend this year. Whilst some of the larger ones may be struggling to pull in interesting lineups (for this very reason, the organisers of Sonisphere recently announced their event would not take place this year), there are some fantastic ‘mid-level’ options going, catering to a variety of tastes. Our love of UK Tech Fest and Euroblast should be apparent by now, but one in particular we’ve our eye on this year is Bristol’s Temples Festival.
Already piquing our interest was a slew of bands including hardcore legends Converge, SunnO))), Pig Destroyer, Between The Buried And Me, Torche, Trap Them, Will Haven, KEN mode, NAILS, Throats and Year Of No Light. Christ.
Tickets finally went on sale yesterday, and to celebrate, those in charge added another sixteen to the mix:
Patrons of Temples Festival,
At long last, the time is upon us…..
It’s with the utmost pride with which we can now (officially) announce seminal Seattle drone masters EARTH as the closing headliner of Temples Festival 2015. A fittingly sinuous end to a weekend of relentlessly heavy music.
In addition to EARTH, please welcome the following artists to the Temples 2015 line-up (in no set order);
The King Is Blind
The Afternoon Gentlemen
Strong. Very strong. Earth are obviously the big draw, and will close the festival on the Sunday evening, but there’s some excellent and varied stuff in there. The running order has also been firmed up as per the above photo. You’ll note that Pig Destroyer are in fact palying two sets (due to popular demand), which is cool.
There’s a further announcement to be made on this Friday 23rd January, so keep your eyes out for that.
Temples Festival will take place May 29th-31st 2015 at Motion Bristol.
