Slipknot to head up the Prepare For Hell tour this January

Slipknot Korn tour 2015

Sure to be a big hit of the new year, Slipknot have just announced they will be heading out on tour around the UK with their ‘brothers’ Korn, ensuring that all attendees will regress to being 15 years old again.

Slipknot last played the UK last year at Download, during a year of down-time, and before that 2011′s Sonisphere, but they haven’t done anything close to touring our shores since at least 2007. Korn are a pretty weighty support too, so this tour should be quite cool. Or it might not – there’s potential either way.

They’re about to release their first album in six years, so there’s much to celebrate for fans.

The dates on the poster above relate to the UK dates, but there’s also a Dublin date on 14th Jan at the 3Arena, so Ireland hasn’t been completely ignored. Full list is as follows:

14th Jan @ 3Arena, Dublin
16th Jan @ Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield
18th Jan @ The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
19th Jan @ Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
20th Jan @ Manchester Arena, Manchester
22nd Jan @ Echo Arena, Liverpool
23rd Jan @ The SSE Arena, London
24th Jan @ Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
26th Jan @ Capital FM Arena, Nottingham
27th Jan @ Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham

.5: The Gray Chapter will be released October 20th/21st, which is really really soon. Yowza.
