Last time we checked in with Trail Of Tears, the Norwegian symphonic gothic/black metal band, the group had released their album art and title via their Facebook page. Often when bands do this they like to trickle out the info, so as to have people write down every smidgen of info and really keep people coming back to the food drip for more. Thank the imaginary sky wizard that Trail Of Tears didn’t take that route because they announced on their Facebook page pretty much every single bit of news that you would need regarding the new record, entitled Oscillation, including the fact that they had just signed to Massacre Records.

The album’s release date is now three and a half months away, firmly pointed at March 22nd, 2013, and although the track listing never really reveals much about how the album will sound, they put that up too. The only unfortunate part about that bit of business is that it completely destroys our previous theory of the album being about a guy who gets his boat stuck on an iceberg in the Northern Arctic. Ah, well, one of these days we’ll get one of those right…

Here’s the full tracklisting now for Oscillation, which will be released on March 22nd 2013, via Massacre Records:

01. Waves of Existence
02. Scream Out Loud
03. Crimson Leads on the Trail of Tears
04. Oscillation
05. Path of Destruction
06. Vultures Guard My Shadow
07. The Dawning
08. Room 306
09. Our Grave Philosophy
10. Lost in Life
11. Eradicate

The band haven’t toured much this year at all, but there’s always the chance that they’ll be hitting the road in support of Oscillation, so keep yourselves tuned for more details!
