Arcaeon 2017

If you caught our recent review of British newcomers Arcaeon‘s debut EP Balance, you’ll know how highly we regard the modern metal five-piece. Energetic, technically challenging, and hooky to boot, if you haven’t caught on yet, we highly recommend you go give it a listen.

But why merely listen to us when the band have produced the following instrumental guitar and bass playthrough video of opening track “Endeavour” JUST for you, and all you need to do is click below? Indeed, I ask you.

It’s a thoroughly lovely track. This video mostly dispenses with the pleasant twinkly intro, and ramps us straight into the meat of the track, which meshes rhythmic shenanigans with super clean leads. Halfway through, you can see the full range of battling guitar parts in concert, which is pretty ace.

If you like what you see, Arcaeon have the following dates booked over the next month or so – make sure to catch them if you can!

25th Feb – London @ New Cross Inn w/ In Search Of Sun
15th Mar – Birmingham @ Subside
16th Mar  – Manchester @ Rebellion w/ Valis Ablaze

You can catch the full version of “Endeavour” with vocals, along with the EP’s other four tracks, and hopefully pick up a copy via their Bandcamp below!
