We’re very pleased to debut the new video from upcoming progressive metalcore act Fractions! We give them 10/10 (groan).

Beyond Infinity” is taken from debut EP Forces, which is available now digitally and linked at the bottom for your listening pleasure. This follows a string of live dates, set to culminate in their April performance in Manchester alongside Krysthla, Ramage Inc. and Codex Alimentarius.

Fans of modern tech/prog will find much to enjoy here. Fractions’ fusion of technical ecstasy with weight and presence is firmly in keeping with the current swathe of modern proggy metalcore but, features a particular focus on soaring choruses which lends them a sweeping, epic feel. Alternately crushing and catchy, the band walk a fine line but do so with finesse and taste.

The curious glitch samples that open the song are an interesting stylistic flourish; the track is peppered with such moments, the band very comfortable moving from heavy, chunky moments to tight melodies without sounding saccharine. There’s a real weight to the track, which follows the kinetic narrative set to a harsh, arctic background.

Bonus points for their high standard of beards. Potential crossover appeal with the stoner doom community? You can be the judge; watch, enjoy and subscribe to them for upcoming shows.
