Watch Septa’s new video for “Destroyer, Pt.1″ before anyone else!

Septa Destroyer

Some countries have very specific musical identities in the minds of metalheads everywhere. Norway is the home to the original kvlt black metal, Sweden is the home of melodic death metal. France is the home of Deathspell Omega etc.

I’m not sure Ukraine has that kind of an identity yet, but despite this, I listened to quite a few Ukrainian albums last year including releases from bands like Burrow, Zlam, Dysphoria - and most pertinently Septa, whose 2014 release Destroyer was one of my favourites of the year.

Mixing together a influences as varied as Mike Patton, Deftones and The Dillinger Escape Plan, as well as some interesting experimental forays, Destroyer proved to be an addiction I couldn’t kick.

We’re stoked to be premiering Septa’s new music video for the first part of the title track, which is spread across the album.

The cinematography and editing really fit with the flow of the song. Check out the video below, as well as an announcement from the band:

So to follow this up Septa are releasing a companion EP called Destroyer Alpha, which includes a single, a few remixes, a couple of B-sides and a live video for “Destroyer Pt. 3“. The exact track listing is as follows:

01. Destroyer, Pt. 1
02. Borg Queen
03. Destroyer, Pt. 3
04. Destroyer, Pt. 4 (Dry White Wine mix)
05. Run Home

Destroyer proper is on Bandcamp for a price of your choosing, along with Septa’s previous album The Lover, some remixes, covers and a split with She Oak – so if the above song and/or description sounds interesting, there’s plenty of Septa to keep you satisfied until the next album (currently in the works) comes out.
